This wick is ideal for candles made from soy, coconut wax, or gel.

For more heat-resistant waxes like palm or beeswax, you may need to double the wick or consider a candle with multiple flames.

The wick is ready for use and does not require additional treatment. However, during the autumn-winter season, we recommend pre-waxing the wick to prevent moisture absorption.

IMPORTANT: Wooden wicks do not work well with colored waxes. They are designed only for pure or scented waxes. The correct wick size is determined during burning. If the wick is too large, the flame will be too high and produce soot. If the wick is too small, it may drown in wax and extinguish.

The height of the wick above the wax affects its performance. The optimal height for wooden wicks is 3-7 mm, depending on width. Wider wicks can be slightly lower, but no less than 3 mm.

Scented Oils & Wick Performance: Fragrance oils add extra load on the wax. If you select a wick for an unscented candle, but later add fragrance oil, you may need to adjust the wick size. If the flame becomes unstable, consider using a wider wick, doubling the wick, or adding a booster (half-wick).

How to Fix Wooden Wicks in Container Candles? When making container candles, secure the wooden wick to the bottom of the jar using metal holders and heat-resistant adhesive pads.
